This publication is the outcome of the work that has been developed by the Research Group “Território y Poder” (Territory and Power) of the University of Huelva, whose line of research centres around landscape in its most social expression, landscape as territory, ie, as a space that enables reflection on social relations and power. This book does not intended to account for the evolution of knowledge of landscape itself, ie, of the evolution from its original configuration to its current state as a result of human labour. It hopes, however, to highlight other subjects of study under this general theme, which although it encloses lesser stories, it forms an important part of the history and cultural heritage of Andalusia.
