This initiative of the Portuguese Embassy in Algiers has the support of the Camões Institute and includes the presentation of the exhibition “Mértola, the last port in the Mediterranean”, at the "Capital of Islamic Culture."

The tenth edition of the International Congress on Medieval Pottery in the Mediterranean (X CICM2) will be held in Silves from 22nd October to 27th October 2012, organized in partnership by Silves Local Authority, the International Association for the study of Medieval ceramics in the Mediterranean, Mértola’s Archaeological Site and the Archaeological Studies Centre from the Universities of Coimbra and Porto.
